U.S. Bank Stadium: Complex Challenges Lead to Innovative Solutions

Placing 300 concrete panels, 300 feet in the air, and on a very tight urban site posed significant safety, quality and scheduling challenges.

After analyzing both cast-in-place and precast panel approaches, the team devised an innovative plan to prefabricate the panels offsite in a controlled environment, ensuring quality and timeliness while limiting the number of cranes needed to place the work. The team also worked with engineers to study the geometry of each panel and create detailed 3D models, resulting in LEAN process for on time delivery of precast panels and an efficient installation.

By leveraging the skills of our team and our expertise as sports builder, we were able to identify scopes of work where we could increase efficiency, quality and safety, ultimately leading to an early completion.
